Design-partner scenario

A Dhaka distributor that stopped typing in van sales

Three vans, 140 shops on credit and a warehouse of short-dated dairy — run from phones and WhatsApp instead of evening paperwork.

Illustrative company built from our industry kits — not a customer. Results and quotes appear only in approved customer stories.

Three vans, 140 shops on credit and a warehouse of short-dated dairy — run from phones and WhatsApp instead of evening paperwork.

The challenge

  • Drivers wrote sales and returns on paper; an office clerk typed them in every evening, often a day late.
  • Shop credit was checked from memory, so the same few shops kept falling further behind.
  • Expired yoghurt and milk were written off at month-end, long after anything could be done.

What they set up

Industry kit

Trading & distribution — routes, vans, lot and expiry tracking, price lists by channel

Agents

  • Bookkeeper
  • Collector
  • Procurement
  • Treasury

WhatsApp

Morning summary to the owner, payment reminders to shops in Bangla, bill photos from the warehouse

How the work runs now

  1. Drivers record each sale and return on their phones; van stock and invoices update as the route runs.
  2. Credit limits are checked on every order, and the Collector reminds late shops politely in Bangla with a bKash link.
  3. Lots close to expiry are flagged a week ahead, so the owner can move them with a promotion instead of writing them off.
